We are excited to announce that Gazprom Energy is now officially SEFE Energy. As part of the SEFE Group (Securing Energy for Europe), this change marks a significant step forward for the company and reflects its repositioning to ensure energy security across Europe.

Since April 2022, SEFE Energy (formerly Gazprom Energy) has been under the trusteeship of the Bundesnetzagentur. The trusteeship was established to safeguard the security of Europe’s energy supply amidst shifting market dynamics.

The new name, SEFE (Securing Energy for Europe), reflects the company’s renewed purpose to ensure energy security for businesses across Europe.

  • Securing a €9.8 billion loan from Germany’s investment and development bank (KfW) to ensure financial stability.
