A man in a suit and tie is holding a piece of paper.

If you’re a Utilita business customer without a Fixed Price Energy Plan, you’ll automatically be placed on Business Variable Rates. This applies if:

  • You haven’t agreed to a new contract.

  • You moved into a property supplied by Utilita but haven’t signed a contract.

  • Your previous pricing agreement expired, and no renewal was arranged.

  • Utilita was appointed as your supplier by Ofgem’s Supplier of Last Resort scheme.

From 1st February 2025, the following out of contract rates will apply. Prices exclude VAT and the Climate Change Levy (CCL).

🔥Why Avoid Utilita’s Business Variable Rates?

Staying on Utilita’s Business Variable Rates can lead to:

  1. Higher Energy Bills – Electricity rates up to 31.1p/kWh and gas rates of 10.4p/kWh with standing charges of £1.15/day can quickly inflate your costs.

  2. Unpredictable Pricing – Variable rates fluctuate and offer no pricing stability.

  3. Missed Opportunities for Savings – Fixed-term agreements provide better value and predictability.
