Increases across both Gas and Electric wholesale markets this week
Gas: NBP gas contracts regained value on Friday, as concerns over current European storage levels resurfaced with further support dealt by gains within the carbon markets. This morning most NBP gas contracts have opened higher, following stronger trading within the wider commodities and fears of tight supplies in Europe as European storage stock levels fall.
Power: UK power contracts strengthened on Friday, driven by stronger trading within the NBP gas market in response to growing concerns over European storage levels and gains within the wider commodities. Today, the Electric wholesale prices have opened up 1.96% HIGHER than this time last week with Gas INCREASING by 25.04%
